AN EXPERIENCE LIKE NO OTHER
Join an Earthwatch Teen Expedition and you'll work alongside experienced scientists at the cutting edge of conservation research, gaining first-hand knowledge of, and trying to find real and achievable solutions to, some of today's most pressing environmental challenges.
You'll connect with other young people who share your energy and passion for the environment, immerse yourself in new cultures, see some of the world's most spectacular places, and help to conserve them.
An expedition fund can be set up to receive contributions from those who would like to help a young person join a Teen Expedition. In many countries, including the United States, contributions to these funds are fully tax-deductible.
FACILITATORS ARE ON EVERY TEEN EXPEDITION
As part of our commitment to providing meaningful and safe experiences for young people, Earthwatch ensures that trained and experienced facilitators offer additional supervision and guidance for each Teen Expedition, from the rendezvous to the end of the expedition.
Facilitators are the key to building good team dynamics and are available throughout the expedition to troubleshoot any concerns volunteers may have. Teen Expeditions usually feature volunteer tasks slightly altered or adapted to suit teen groups.
So, whether you choose to patrol beaches to protect turtles, research climate change in the tundra, or participate in another of approximately 20 Teen Expeditions, Earthwatch will provide you with an experience like no other. Find an Earthwatch Teen Expedition today!
