6 Ways to Support Earthwatch
As a nonprofit organization, we rely on the overwhelming generosity of our volunteers and donors to help us meet our commitments to our scientists and to operate our many education programs. If you're looking to support Earthwatch, we want to make sure that you have the resources that you need. That's why we've compiled this list of the top ways that you can help us the most. From making a donation to our Earthwatch Fund to joining our Ambassador Program, discover the many ways you can help us to fulfill our mission.
Donate to the Earthwatch Fund.
Help to sustain Earthwatch and its mission through this difficult period by pledging your support through a donation to our emergency Earthwatch Fund.
*Please note the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) includes a new above-the-line deduction for non-itemizers' 2021 charitable contributions up to $300. The bill also lifts the existing cap for those who itemize, raising it from 60% of adjusted gross income to 100%.
Make a contribution to a new or existing Expedition Fund and support future environmental research.
By contributing to an Expedition Fund to prepare for future travel and expeditions with Earthwatch, you’ll be helping to support our operational costs today. Simply log in to your MyEarthwatch portal and navigate to the "Fundraise" tab. Click the button to “Create a New Expedition Fund'' and fill out all of the fields that appear. Kick things off and demonstrate your commitment to join us in the field by making the first donation (minimum of $25). Then circulate your own unique Expedition Fund link to your network.

Take action in your own backyard.
The goal of Global Pollinator Watch, a home-based citizen science program, is to arm members of the public with the training and resources they need to collect data that will help us to better understand pollinator presence and abundance in regions around the world. These data will help us to track the critical timing of pollinator activity and the host plants that they rely upon for part of their life cycles, and ultimately, to help reduce pollinator decline.
YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS
Earthwatch depends on donations—above and beyond what we raise from volunteers who participate on our expeditions—in order to deliver our global conservation mission. In fact, volunteer contributions provide only half of the total resources Earthwatch needs to sustain over 40 field research expeditions, a wide variety of educational programs, corporate sustainability trainings, and more each year.
