Earthwatch scientist Dr. Bibi Santidrián Tomillo, the science director of the Leatherback Trust, has worked with this project for over 10 years. Her areas of expertise include population biology, marine biology, and conservation. Her current research focuses on the effect of climatic events on the hatching success of leatherback turtles and other reptiles. She supervises the research of the field station and connects research and management by working closely with the national park authorities.
