Earthwatch has been a partner in Weil’s Legal Innovators Program since its inaugural year in 2020, engaging incoming law school students in addressing some of the most pressing social and legal challenges in our communities today. Each year, a cohort of approximately 10 Innovators are selected through a competitive application process to work with nonprofits for a fellowship year, one of which is Earthwatch. The Innovators execute a strategic initiative designed to amplify the impact of the nonprofit partner and their mission while leveraging their business acumen and commitment to public service.

Earthwatch depends on donations—above and beyond what we raise from volunteers who participate on our expeditions—in order to deliver our global conservation mission. In fact, volunteer contributions provide only half of the total resources Earthwatch needs to sustain over 40 field research expeditions, a wide variety of educational programs, corporate sustainability trainings, and more each year.
