Coupa is a cloud-based Business Spend Management (BSM) platform that unifies processes across supply chain, procurement, and finance. Earthwatch and Coupa partner together on Operation Healthy Air, a global air quality research project. While the initial focus was on the San Mateo, California region, the program will be expanding globally. Employees engage in virtual air quality education and awareness sessions and hands-on science projects to help deploy air quality sensors. Earthwatch is also facilitating senior leaders from Coupa and community members in workshops to ideate solutions for air quality and environmental justice issues.
At Coupa, we are focused on the connections across environment, social and governance issues. This is vital work to address the impacts of climate change affecting everyone, and in particular, the disproportionate effects on underserved communities.

In fact, volunteer contributions provide only half of the total resources Earthwatch needs to sustain over 40 field research expeditions, a wide variety of educational programs, corporate sustainability trainings, and more each year.
