Mike Van Keulen, Ph.D.

Mike van Keulen is a Senior Lecturer of Marine Biology at Murdoch University and Director of the Coral Bay Research Station. Mike undertook undergraduate studies at James Cook University, the University of Western Australia and Murdoch University, obtaining a BSc with Honours and PhD from Murdoch University in Perth.

He worked as a researcher with CSIRO Marine Research and as a postdoctoral fellow on marine restoration before taking up his current post as lecturer in Marine Biology at Murdoch University in 1998. Mike has diverse research interests, including the biology and ecology of marine plants, coral reef ecology, environmental restoration and marine wildlife ecology.
