School and Partner Group Sales Lead

The goal of this position is to support our global research program by growing group bookings. Groups are currently sourced from private and public schools and universities, zoos and aquariums, alumni groups, etc. As such, experience in selling to schools, selling or knowledge of educational/experiential learning programs, and international travel markets is a valuable asset.
This role will generate, steward, and convert new leads into sales. To achieve success, this highly motivated individual will need to create and implement effective outreach strategies and stewarding plans, work with research program managers to ensure product availability, and be able to convert qualified leads into sales.
Education and Corporate Sustainability Intern

Online Marketing Lead

This primary goal of this key marketing position is to help Earthwatch Institute launch a new loyalty and referral marketing program. The Online Marketing Lead will work with other key staff to create a shared vision for the program, and will be responsible for executing its launch in 2015. There are additional online marketing / web duties as well, and the position requires a solid understanding of online loyalty programs, website design, and Microsoft CRM. This position is directly responsible for delivering results that positively affect the bottom line, and is best-suited for a driven, collaborative, creative leader with an integrated marketing / IT skillset.
The position is new to our organization and will provide the right candidate with the opportunity to work on a powerful new initiative with professionals who are passionate about making a positive difference in the world.

Research Associate Intern

Earthwatch supports scholarly field research worldwide in ocean, freshwater, terrestrial and urban ecosystems. Earthwatch supports field research that utilizes highly motivated non-specialist volunteers, also called citizen scientists, to collect data.
The Research Department is responsible for soliciting, reviewing, and recommending research proposals for funding and supporting researchers throughout their Earthwatch careers. Earthwatch supports cutting-edge science through field-based expeditions that address:
• What is changing? (Discovery)
• Why is it changing? (Understanding)
• What can we do? (Action)
Research Associate Interns will assist the Research Department in a variety of tasks to help support the research team and Earthwatch scientists.
